Kinsey's Dedication

Miss Kinsey Claire went before the congregation as we promised to raise her in a Godly way with the help of our wonderful church. After the service we had family over for a luncheon to celebrate the day.

Sweet sweet sisters. Their love for each other is so amazing and blesses me daily! I could not ask for more.

Baking, baking and baking

Ashley and I both love to bake and cook -- it's fun. I'm glad she enjoys it as much as I do. We definitely have a lot of fun in the kitchen :) We were bored one night and decided to make some Valentine's cookies.

Crazy Hair Day

Crazy Hair Day at school is one of Ashley's favorites each year. This year she requested three braids (pronounced: Braaaeeeeedts, according to Ashley) and lots of "clippies". Here is the result...it was pretty cute. The funny thing was that I guess during lunch she decided to take all the clips out and make a chain with them -- well, her teacher took them away from her and put them in her cubby. Then she proceeded to take two of the braids out --- so when I picked her up she had one braid still in and a bunch of crinkly poofy hair....talk about CRAZY HAIR DAY! I was a tad embarrassed to walk to the car :) Silly girl!

Brrrr....

February brought with it some SERIOUSLY cold days this year along with some snow and ice. Ashley and I took advantage of one of these days and made some cinnamon rolls from scratch -- they sure were yummy! And of course the girls played in the snow -- check out their matching cat hats :) I love to match them, wonder if they will hate me someday for this?? Oh well -- it's fun while it lasts...

Yeah, yeah, I know...it's been awhile....so my last post was on 10.12.2009. A lot has been going on in our family since then - we've added a new member, sweet precious Miss Kinsey Claire. She is the happiest sweetest little baby EVER! {and I'm not just saying that b/c I'm her mom -- she truly is the best}

I haven't decided yet whether I'll go back in time so to speak and update the blog for the 16 months that are missing or not -- I would really like to just because this blog is a baby book of sorts and someday I hope to print out a copy for each of the kids to have -- but I'm not quite sure where I'll find the time to capture what has gone on since my last post -- so for now I'll just start with this month!
