Giant Easter Egg Bunny
Gigi and Grandken got Ashley the funniest looking Easter Bunny I've ever seen. It is bigger than she is, but that doesn't stop her from rolling over it, picking it up and throwing it, and laying her head on it. Here is a pic of Ashley outside w/ her Giant Egg Bunny. They also got her a Tiny Egg Bunny. (Check out our new fence in the background...we finally got it fixed...YEA!) I wonder sometimes if Ashley gets tired of us posing her with strange things and jumping around like a bunch of crazies trying to get her to smile....I think I got my answer...take a look at the third picture....she's like, what are you doing mommy!

Ashley and the Computer
Ashley is very interested in anything electronic or anything that controls anything that is electronic. She loves remote controls as evidence by this being the first thing she crawled to. She loves cell phones, apparently they taste good. She loves computers. So far little Miss Ashley has learned how to do the following on the computer:
1) Send an email from Gigi's work computer to one of her coworkers - thank goodness the email was blank instead of including the gibberish that she usually types!
2) Remove all the taskbars and toolbars from Mommy and Daddy's home computer. It took us a good hour to figure out how to get the bars back.
3) Make mommy's work computer screen picture rotate 90 degrees counterclockwise. This proved to be her most difficult task yet as it took Mommy almost 2 hours to figure out how to rotate the screen picture back to normal. I feared that I would return to work on Monday and have to call our tech support and explain that I left my laptop on the floor, went to get a drink from the refrigerator and in that time my 9 month old daughter crawled over to the laptop and performed her magic. Luckily I figured it out before I had to return to work.
She even likes to 'learn' about digital cameras in her spare time, as evidenced by the below photo - we have no idea why it is blue - except that Ashley did have the camera for a while after...who knows! Check out her mohawk!!!

Dallas Arboretum

We were sitting around the house this morning, playing with Ashley when Eric read in the paper that it was opening weekend for the Dallas Arboretum. Since it was such a beautiful day we packed up Ashley and headed out to look at the flowers. We had a lot of fun...it felt sort of like a mini vacation...the weather couldn't have been nicer. Ashley had a lot of fun looking at the flowers and all the people. They have this really neat area where they have planted flowers in the shape of butterfly wings...kids (or adults) can lay down in between the flowers and it looks like you are a butterfly. Ashley was too small for the effect to really work..and she was very distracted by the flowers being so close to her...she kept trying to rip them out...WHOOPS! She really liked touching the grass too :) We had a great day!

We're MOBILE!
She's been rocking for about three weeks now...and guess what?!?!? She crawled this morning for the first time and we got it on tape...of course she crawled to get to the remote control. Is that a bad sign??
