Pictures Galore

Ok - so I've been neglecting my dear blog here for awhile now. Sorry. So here goes two months worth of activities and fun - comin' at ya!

Helping Alex Celebrate his 5th Birthday!

This girl loves frosting! Everyone at the party thought she was hilarious with her red face :) She did really well and didn't get much on her outfit...mommy was proud!

Alex and Ashley with Chucke E Cheese. Ashley had so much fun at Alex's party. She danced for a good 10 minutes with Chucke E and had a blast playing all the games and eating pizza.

Ashley and Daddy racing.
Outing at the Mall

Shopping? Not so much - this girl loves to play!

Helping Papaw Celebrate his Birthday!

Aunt Kristen had everyone over to celebrate Papaw's birthday. We all had a great time and as always Kristen cooked some great food.

Here is the GIANT cupcake that Ashley and Mommy baked for Papaw's Party. It was yummy!

Hangin' Out w/ Mr. A.

Ashley and her buddy A. have so much fun playing together. On this playdate they played Vet, rode the busses around and around, built with legos, played w/ the ball pit, "fought" over the cd player and whose song they would dance to, read books, put on a pupet show, and did lots of puzzles.

Click, Clack, Moo...

Ashley and A. went to see the play, 'Click, Clack, Moo - Cows that type'. Ashley had a great time and reads the book each and every night now.

Ashley getting some autographs after the performance. I love it how not afraid she is to do things on her own. She got autographs from each of the stars of the show all on her own - she's becoming such a big girl.

Ashley Spreads Some Valentine Cheer.

Ashley made over 70 Valentine's Day Cards to take to the retirement home near our house. She made each and every one and had so much fun doing it. Here she is with her little basket getting ready to go hand them all out.

It was such a neat thing to do. The residents absolutely loved Ashley - I truly think it was the highlight of the week for some of them. Ashley was so sweet - passing out her cards to everyone with a smile and a "happy valentines". She loved knocking on the doors and going into each apartment and talking to the people. I must say that she made out like a bandit - they all kept giving her candy :)

Here she is with some of her cards - she was so proud of them. If anyone wants to come with us - I'm planning on visiting again at Halloween time - it would be fun to plan something bigger - like a trick or treat or something like that with the residents. It really means so much to them to talk to outsiders and to see kids!! So let me know if you want to come w/ us!

Superbowl & 3D Shades.

Ashley and Daddy headed over to Nana & Pops house to watch the big game this year. Here is a quick shot of Ashley and her 3D glasses. The kids all had a blast together, playing around and watching the game.

Wednesday Tradition.

We try to get over to Memaw & Papaw's house once a week to hang out with them. Usually we go on Wednesday. We have fun just hanging out - and they spoil Ashley with cookies and suckers - who wouldn't love that!

Ashley and Papaw playing a good game of Dominoe's.

Ashley Making School Valentines.

Ashley making Valentine's for all her school friends. I love it that she's crafty - just like her momma! We have so much fun crafting together -- and she's only 2 and a half!

Ready to go to school and hand out her Valentines.

Workin' on The House.

Ashley spent one Saturday a few weeks ago in the backyard with Granken. He's working on installing sheetrock on the interior of Ashley's backyard pad. He's doing a great job! Thanks, DAD!! We love you!

The Cooking Preschooler.

I've started cooking. It is horrible to admit - but before the economy went bad - OK, honestly - before December '08. I did not cook - like ever. Maybe once a week. Well, I got sick of eating out and dinner being a stressful time - so I started cooking. Like planning my meals on Sunday and actually cooking each night. And can I just say that I love it. Ashley helps me each and every night. She loves it too. She really does help. She puts things in bowls, stirs, cracks eggs, sprinkles cheese, puts things on the baking sheet, sets the timer, measures and pours....seriously - this girl really does cook. It's so cute - and I love it that she helps me - we have fun!

Best Friends.

Last week we drove down to Houston to visit a good friend of mine from college. Her daugther, Halle and Ashley are only about a month apart in age and love each other! They are cute when we get together. Here they are drawing on the porch.

And then painting - our very own little Picasos.

And being ballerinas.

And lovin' on each other. Best Friends ;) We miss you guys already!

Helping Cole Celebrate his Birthday!

Ashley's little friend, Cole had a petting zoo at his birthday party. Ashley absolutely loves animals - I'm not sure where she gets it from - neither Eric or I are really animal lovers...but she LOVES them!!

All the other kids are running around the backyard - playing on the swingset and whatnot - and here's Ashley - sitting on the ground with the bunnies....SO stinkin' cute!

Ashley riding the pony at the party. Thanks Cole for sharing your day with us!

I love this one - b/c it shows just how much she loves animals - both hands on two different goats...and with that - goodnight!
