Ashley loved playing on the beach each day and building sand castles and burying her legs in the sand.

As you can see -- we're the only ones on the beach this particular morning. EMPTY! It was wonderful! We had the place to ourselves!

I just love this little picture of Ashley. Just strolling along the wall :)

And this one was slightly scary to mommy! A little too high if you ask me...
Ashley and Eric taking a stroll on the beach. They loved playing together and having beach races. Ashley would line them up and say, "one, two, three.....let's go!" and take off. They were so cute together. Ashley is definitely a Daddy's girl and it was good for them to spend the week together!

Ashley and Mommy before dinner one night in the lobby. The resort was amazing! We'd definitely recommend it. The grounds were beautiful and the staff was so nice to us!

Ashley and Daddy before dinner - Smiley cuties!

Great shot of one of the 6 pools. This one had an infinity edge - isn't the ocean so pretty back there! Such a pretty blue!

Taking a little nap on the beach!

Our resort was in the middle of the two towns (Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo). This photo was taken by an outside market in Cabo San Lucas. We had a blast finding some neat souvenirs. Ashley took such pride in finding the perfect gifts for her cousins, Alex & Sam. She was so excited to give it to them when we got back home. She told us the whole time we were away that she was going to say, "Hey Alex and Sam, SURPRISE!" and hand them the gifts...

Ashley and Daddy at an outside cafe where we ate lunch one day in Cabo San Lucas. Ashley bought a whistle necklace from a little street vendor and loved playing with it on the trip --- Mommy has since confiscated it (I'm worried about lead based paint...I need to get one of those tests before I give it back to her). I didn't even think about worrying about that until I was buying some pottery and the guy I was buying it from kept saying - we use no lead paint....I was like sure....hmmm...maybe I should be worried about this.

Ashley and Mommy at one of the two kiddie pools. This one was called the dolphin pool. The water was heated and had a real gentle slop and only went up to 2.5 feet. Ashley loved this pool and we spent quite a bit of time here!

We returned to our room one night after dinner and the turn down service had left these little swan towels for Ashley :) She thought it was great.

And here's our big girl asleep in her "swan bed".

Here's a shot of part of our resort. Notice the emptiness of the beach...LOVE IT!

Ashley and Daddy on another beach walk.

We went on a sunset cruise one night. Behind us is the arch that Cabo is famous for. There were also some sea lions and dolphins that we saw on this little boat ride. We ate dinner and had a great time. Ashley did a lot of dancing!

All of us by the arch. Ashley in her little Mexican dress that Mommy stupidly over paid for! I thought they were telling me the price in Pesos (they said $30 and I was like DONE! Bargain). Well when Eric went to pay we found out it was dollars and not pesos -- STINK! they wound up giving it to us half off so for $15 but come on!! Other vendors were selling the same dress for like $5 USD. Oh well - I learned my lesson that day --- I also bought an extremely overpriced purse and a bracelet from them...oh well!

Ashley and Daddy on the cruise. She has such a serious look on her face. Like, "what are you doing taking more pictures of us for??"

Smiley girl.

Ash and Daddy.

The three of us on the sunset cruise. Unfortunately the night we chose to go was the only day/night where there were some serious clouds in the sky --- so there wasn't really a sunset to see...oh well...we still had a blast!

This was taken in the other town, San Jose del Cabo. Of the two towns this one was hands down my favorite. It was very low key - no bars, clubs, it was just a quaint little Mexican town. Tons of great little shops and art galleries and great little patio restaurants. They had the town square all decked out for Christmas. The local school was even up on a stage practicing their dance/singing routine for the local Christmas Festival. Ashley joined them - she copied all their movements and even tried to sing their songs --- it was adorable! I loved this town so much - life was just slower there.

Here is a large nativity that was set up in the town square. Both towns had several nativities at several locations and each time Ashley would see one it really disturbed her. As you can see there is no Baby Jesus. Each time we would see one she would ask us about 50 times, "Where is Baby Jesus? Where did he go? Oh, no, Baby Jesus is missing. Find him. Why is he not in there?". All I could say is that it must be Mexican tradition to not put Baby Jesus out until Christmas Eve or Day....not quite sure but it couldn't be a coincidence that none of the nativities we saw had Baby Jesus. Nonetheless - this explanation did not fly with a two year old. It really upset her that he was "missing".

Ashley hanging out in the town square.

A little patio cafe that we stopped at for lunch in San Jose del Cabo - once again we had the place to ourselves and were treated wonderfully. All the restaurants we ate at were so neat! and the food was EXCELLENT! At this particular one - I had the BEST QUESIDILLAS I've ever had in my entire LIFE! There were fantastic!!!!

Daddy and Ashley on one of the balconies in our room. We had a great suite with a wonderful view!

Another balcony shot.

Ashley and Mommy in the infinity pool.

Same spot different shot.

And again. Oh look...another person --- it's a first...JK ;) there were a few other guests at the resort - just not that many.

Ashley being cute :)

This shot was taken in one of the pool with a waterfall. Ashley thought this pool was fun - we only went to it once though. It was kind of at the back of the property and we couldn't see the ocean from this one.

Ashley telling daddy secrets....HA! She looks like she is about to bite his ear off (to me) :)

Back at the Dolphin pool. She really did love this one.

Splish Splash!

Our resort was so neat. It had the main lobby building (our room was in the lobby/main building) and then had about 30-40 little two and three story buildings spread out on the property. It was a pretty large resort and everywhere you turned the buildings had a little bit different look. The colors all coordinated but were slightly different and there were fountains all over the place and great tile mosaics on the ground.

ANother shot of the resort.

And another. You see what I mean - every time I turned around the buildings had a little different look to them. It was amazing! I loved it!

Here we are in the lobby waiting for a taxi to take us into Cabo San Lucas for dinner one night.

We went to a Mexican Show one night on the beach in Cabo San Lucas. It was really fun. It was a bit chilly - so Ashley wraped up in the mexican blanket that was on daddy's chair.

The show was pretty neat - they went through the History of the area (stories, music, and dancers) and ended with fireworks over the ocean.

More of the show.

On our sixth day of vacation - Ashley said NO MORE MEXICAN FOOD! She wanted some good old Mac N Cheese...so here we are at Hard Rock -- getting her some mac.

Ashley and Daddy with the marina in the background.

Our last day in Los Cabos. Taken from our side balcony. We were so sad to leave and head back home and almost (like really almost) extended our stay. But ultimately we decided that if we missed Christmas at home that the parents/grandparents might kill us....so we came back. We loved having so much great family time together and loved how nice everyone was to us and how beautiful it was there and how slow the time passed by and the general pace of life. It was a wonderful vacation...and I think we may just be going back next year/same time. SO MUCH FUN!!!!
